Stanford GSB 2026–2027 Essay Questions
Stanford keeps it deceptively simple — two essays, and they’re unchanged from last year:
- Essay A: “What matters most to you, and why?” (up to 650 words)
- Essay B: “Why Stanford for you?” (up to 350 words)
Essay A is about your values, not your résumé — show what genuinely drives you through specific, personal stories. Essay B has to be specific: connect your goals to actual Stanford resources, and leave no doubt this isn’t a ranking-driven backup.
How ApplicantLab Can Help
Stanford’s essays demand deep self-reflection and razor-sharp specificity — exactly what ApplicantLab is built for: the same school-specific strategy a $5,000–$15,000 consultant would give you, for $349 for the whole year (unlimited schools).
